The Knitting Nest is a cozy shop in the heart of Historic Downtown Maryville, Tennessee featuring loads of luscious yarns and an inviting atmosphere that encourages customers to sit, knit, and chat. Antje Gillingham, Proprietor and author of Knitting circles around Socks and Knitting More circles around Socks, was born and raised in Germany where she learned to knit as a young girl. Antje mixes her old world charm with southern hospitality and gushes with enthusiasm for the home craft of knitting.
Come in and nest for awhile! In our new location we have plenty of space where you can escape your daily routine and trade stress for a chat and a row or two of knitting. You'll find cozy corners, a knitting balcony, and a comfortable sitting area where you can discover or share ideas and inspiration with people who enjoy the same addiction passion as you.
